Hello Families!!

My name is Rebekah Angle, and I am the Parent Mentor for Catoosa County Public Schools. This is my second year in this position, and I am enjoying every minute of it!

Many parents don't know what a Parent Mentor does, so let me share a little bit about the position.

Parent Mentors work with families of students with disabilities on a daily basis providing them with tools, resources, and strategies that they can use to support their children at home, at school, and in the community. As a parent of a child with a specific learning disability, I am committed to providing parents with timely access to information, family-friendly resources on a variety of topics and issues, and so much more!

The Department of Community Health (DCH) and the Department of Human Services (DHS) is helping students and families navigate their Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® eligibility checks that are occurring through May 2024. Georgia is required by the federal government to redetermine eligibility for every person who receives Medicaid or PeachCare for Kids® health insurance, as the pandemic-era continuous coverage requirement has ended.
