Kramer Carnival is TOMORROW!!! You don't want to miss this amazing event! Food, games, inflatables, auctions and more. Come on out to help support the Kramer PTG and Kramer students!
One of our biggest accomplishments this week has been learning about PAX and what that looks like at Kramer. Each week the teachers will work with their classes on being PAX leaders! Ask your student about their class vision boards!
It is hard to believe it is OCTOBER! Hopefully the weather will start to feel like fall. When it does cool down, please remember to put your child's name in their jackets as our lost and found is already piling up!
We hope you have a great weekend!
*NOTES FROM THE OFFICE*
Student Fees:
Fees have been loaded to Payschools Central If you wish to pay online. You can also pay in the office with cash or check.
Lunch Accounts:
As a reminder, you are able to add funds to your student's lunch account through the Payschools Central system. If your student's account reaches -$50 it will be rolled into your school fees. Please be mindful and keep your student's account current. You can use Talawanda EZ Pay, send a check or cash to the school office to take care of your student's balance.
Free and Reduced:
If you would like to apply for free or reduced lunches, please reach out to the Kramer office or Kramer social worker, Chelsea Pike. We can help walk you through the online application or help you fill out a paper form in the office. If you qualify for FREE lunch, your fees will also be waived. (EXCEPT for 5th grade Chromebook fee) If you qualify for REDUCED, fees will be reduced by 85% (EXCEPT for 5th grade Chromebook fee) and meals will be FREE.
Final Forms:
Remember, if you have any changes to your information (phone number, address, who can pick up your student, etc) throughout the school year, change it in Final Forms! The office is notified of these changes and will update our information. IF you have an address change, you must submit new proof of residency to the office before we will update your address.
*OCTOBER LUNCH MENU*
PAX - Good Behavior Game
This month, our classes co-created a PAX Vision Board as part of the PAX Good Behavior Game. Together, students and teachers identified what they want to see more and less of, and what they should do more and less of to build a community focused on peace, productivity, health, and happiness.
By working together, we’re setting a shared vision for our classrooms—a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. And it's not only in the classroom! This will stretch into the cafeteria, specials and even in the hallways.
Ask your student about their classrooms vision!

Conference Night Meals
Parent-Teacher Conference Week:
Parent-Teacher Conference week is coming up soon! It's Tuesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 16 (donated by El Potrero). To help teachers get through the long conference days, PTG pays for the 'core' of the meal, and we need parent/guardian donations to provide appetizers, beverages, fruit/veggies, desserts, and other items. We also need parents/guardians to help with setup and clean-up on both days. If you are interested in helping in any way, please click on this link to sign up and for more details.

Read At Home
Attention Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade families: RAH begins on Wednesday September 24th. This will be our first reward day, so please return your RAH sheet by Wednesday!
Kramer RAH (Reading At Home) is a voluntary program from K-2nd graders that builds a home-school connection by rewarding students for reading at home. Each week students record the books they've read and turn-in record sheets for rewards. Rewards alternate between a student selected book and a small prize.
Have you connected your Kroger Rewards card to the Kramer PTG yet? Each account can be connected to ONE nonprofit. When you use this feature, Kroger donates a percentage of your expenses to our PTG. You just have to sign up once!
*THE COUNSELOR CORNER*
I can be reached two ways…
Email: durhamr@talawanda.org
Phone: (513) 273-3553
I started Second Step classroom lessons in September. These lessons will address the specific areas of growth mindset and goal setting, emotion management, empathy and kindness, as well as problem solving. In addition to the Second Step Lessons, I provide teacher requested lessons based on the specific needs of a particular classroom.
Lunch with the Counselor…
One of my goals this school year is to get better acquainted with each and every student at Kramer. I hope to achieve this by inviting small groups of students to have lunch with me each day. In the month of September, I plan to focus on having lunch with and getting to know our new kindergarten class!!
I also provide small groups in which students work with their peers to learn skills that are helpful both in and out of the classroom, as well as short term one on one support. Some of the small groups and one on one support focus on specific areas such as self regulation, coping skills, relationships, etc.
If you are interested in your student receiving any additional support, please complete and return the appropriate permission form.
