Browning Families-
Welcome back from Spring Break! We were excited and eager to see all our Browning Bears this week. We began our week with a special spirit day Moon Monday to celebrate our name being sent around the moon on board the Orion space capsule with the Artemis II astronaut crew. It was an exciting day. MSTEP:
Students began their MSTEP state assessments this previous week and will continue next week for our 3rd, 5th, SEED, and 4th graders. 6th graders will have a week off and will finish their MSTEP the week of April 20-24. During this time, no phones may enter the testing session and should remain off and in their backpacks or kept at home. That includes anything wireless, including watches, glasses, and earbuds. Please be sure to review the district technology policy below.

School Improvement Student Survey April 20-24 (Media Center)
Students at Browning will be administered a survey during Media Center time during their special time in the week of April 20-24th. This School Improvement survey will provide us with information to better meet the needs of our students. The School Improvement student survey provides data regarding students’ overall feelings of a sense of belonging, safety, and connections to Browning Elementary as it pertains to being challenged academically in our school as well. A copy of the survey is available in PDF below. If you would prefer your student not participate in this survey, please contact our office and your child's teacher.
FREE Author Visit to Browning!
We look forward to welcoming author Johnathan Rand to our school next week! The assembly is free and courtesy of a Browning Bear student who graciously entered our school's name into a contest for a free assembly-and we won! THANK YOU! If you would like an autographed book from this author, please see the form below. Please note that Kindergartners will have a fun-filled separate assembly that is Kindergarten-centered.

Browning students did a great job celebrating the successful mission around the moon and look forward to welcoming our astronauts back to Earth this evening, April 10th. You can watch from home! Special thank you to all those families who participated in our Moon Monday spirit day as we made our closest approach during the lunar orbit flyby aboard the Orion Space capsule. Browning Elementary's name was on board, digitally, in the SD card that traveled with the astronauts. Great job Browning Bears!
