Important Updates & Reminders
Food Service
The Free Breakfast/Lunch option that Ohio schools participated in during the past 2 school years has expired. The school district will resume charging students for school breakfast and lunch.
We invite all families to complete a Free and Reduced-Price School Meal Application. Students will be given applications during the first week of school; however, applications may be submitted early to our District Office.
For questions regarding our Food Service program, please contact Deanna Park at 740-335-3010.
Student Medication
Any student who will be taking prescription OR over-the-counter medication (ie. Tylenol/Ibuprofen) at school will need to have proper documentation on file in the school clinic. In addition, parents will need to provide the medication directly to the school nurse.
This can be done beginning on Monday, August 15th, and can take place any time during operational hours after that date. Melissa Reed, the school nurse, will be present during Freshman Orientation for this process as well.
Senior Vaccine Requirement
The state of Ohio requires kindergarten, 7th grade, and 12th graders to have updated immunizations BEFORE they can start the school year.
All Seniors must submit proof of having the Meningococcal Vaccination before starting the school year.
Please contact Fayette County Public Health at 740-335-5910 with questions or to make an appointment. Vaccination records can be submitted to the high school main office Monday - Friday from 7 am to 3 pm.
"Excellent" Attendance
In past years, MTHS has recognized students for "Perfect Attendance". We are excited to announce that going forward, we will be recognizing students with "Excellent" attendance on a quarterly basis. Excellent attendance can be earned by students missing 8 hours or less per quarter. More details on this award will be coming.
New Attendance Reporting Option
Parents can now leave a voicemail on the attendance line at each building by selecting the appropriate option when calling in. To report your child as absent for the day, dial 740-333-4700 and select option 1.
