Oh the Weather is so Delightful...

Please remember to send your child with clothes for all weather. The warmer weather is creating amazing puddles and mud. Please send your child with a change of clothes, just in case.

We Need Your Input... We Need Your Input...

Dear parents,

As part of our commitment to providing the best possible support and resources for students receiving special education services, we invite you to participate in the annual Parent Involvement survey conducted by the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED).

This brief survey is to gauge the level of parent involvement in our schools and how it contributes to improving services and outcomes for children with special education. The survey window is April 11, 2025 until May 23rd, 2025. All responses are anonymous.

To access the survey, visit this NHDOE website.

Please complete a separate survey for each child receiving special education services in your family. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child's education.

We’re excited to welcome artist Julie Brown to Francestown Elementary School next week! Julie will be working with our students to create a beautiful mosaic mural that reflects our Outdoor Lion’s Learning experiences and celebrates the vibrant FES community.

Earlier this year, students submitted sketches inspired by their learning and our natural surroundings. Julie thoughtfully combined these designs into a single piece of artwork. The final mural will be a symbol of our students’ connection to the world around them and the strong sense of community we share at FES.

If you’re interested in volunteering during the mural project, please reach out to your child(ren)’s teacher—we’d love to have your help!

Special Thank you to the New Hampshire Environmental Educators (NHEE). The grant money given to support OLL has brought Julie Brown to our school.

Growing Up

We had another great week in 1st and 2nd grade. This week in Math, we continued learning geometry and place value. In Science, we began learning about how different baby animals are matched up with their parents using different traits. We did different activities to learn how to match up the babies with their parents.

In the upcoming weeks, our class will be working with the Harris Center and Cornucopia Project again. Volunteers are needed – please check Class Dojo for more details.

This week in PE, students continued to work on their gymnastics skills with different obstacles. They also worked on their throwing skills, as well as agility and coordination through fun activities. Everyone got some time on the rope swing and parachute due to their great effort throughout the week!
