IMPORTANT - Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Each year, students and parents must agree to the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) to continue using school-issued devices and the BCS network. In the past, HMS has sent home a paper copy to be filled out and returned. This year, we are trying to streamline the process and are pulling the AUP off of the Annual Emergency Information Update (AEIU).

Mrs. Rihn, our Technology Systems Specialist, has finished filtering the current data from the AEIU. Students who do not have an updated AEIU, which contains the AUP, on file will have their device locked beginning Monday, November 3rd.

Thank you to those who have completed the AEIU thus far! Mrs. Rihn has sent out emails to parents of students who do not have a current AUP on file. We have 44 6th graders, 45 7th graders, & 67 8th graders who still need to complete their AEIU. If you have not done so already, please take a few moments to fill out the AEIU - HERE! She will be sending home papers by the end of this week and locking devices beginning Monday, November 3rd.

HMS Social Studies Fair

We will be holding our annual Social Studies Fair on Wednesday, October 29th in the gym. Participating students should plan to set up their projects between 2:30 - 4:00 on Tuesday, October 28th unless other arrangements have been made with their social studies teacher ahead of time. There should be no projects set up on the day of the fair, and students will need a card table for this event. Students and parents are invited to our open house gallery and awards Wednesday evening after the fair beginning at 5:30 with awards promptly at 6:00. Students are expected to break down and take their projects home immediately after the award ceremony.
