Pursuing the Joy of Salvation, Knowledge, Leadership, and Community
Marimba leaves for music tour to Houston, TX
This morning even before the teachers had arrived at school, the Marimba loaded up the trailer and headed to Houston, TX. Today they will be playing at Houston Adventist Academy and tonight and tomorrow they will play at local churches sharing the joy and the gift of music.
University Singers perform at chapel
We were so excited to have the university singers sing today for chapel. It was also really neat to see that five are former KAES graduates. The cherry on top was when Dr. Wall announced that he was offering all KAES students and parents 50% off or buy one get one free ticket to "A Night at the Meyerson" concert next weekend. Look at the flyer for more information.
The Keene Church VBS team is looking for volunteers
We are excited to be gathering volunteers for the KEENE VBS which will be June 1-5! If you are able to volunteer in ANY capacity it will be appreciated! There are many capacities in which you can volunteer. Start by filling out the volunteer form below. Thank you for blessing our community with your time and talents!
Pre School and Pre Kindergarten host Open House on Sunday, April 13 at 12pm
Preschool or PreK Open House will be held at KAES on April 13 starting at 12 pm through 2pm. This will be a great informative event for all parents with 3 and 4 year olds. Parents and guardians will get the chance to meet the classroom teachers, learn about the programs and ask questions in an informative atmosphere. We know these are big decisions and we are here to help.
6th grade participates in Ancient Egypt Marketplace for Social Studies class
What was it like in the times of the Pharoahs? Ask our 6th graders! As part of their Social Studies class, Mrs. Hutchinson had the students participate in a simulation activity. Each student stepped into the sandals of a character they created after being randomly assigned to a unique social class ranging from farmers and artisans to scribes and nobles. After learning about ancient Egyptian daily life, they researched the types of goods their character might have traded thousands of years ago. But they didn’t stop at research—they became ancient merchants! From handcrafted jewelry to grains, students developed creative pitches and bartered with classmates, honing their negotiation skills and gaining firsthand experience of how complex and lively ancient trade could be.
Watch them grow
If you have an elementary student then you probably have heard that we are growing chicks, well eggs. Students have the chance to watch the growth of chicks inside the eggs by candling the egg. God's creations are amazing!
Students cast their vote for the house they would like to buy.
This is not just day dreaming, instead students created their dream house. They had to write the description, draw a scaled floor plan, find its value and illustrate what it would look like. Once completed, they posted it for KAES students to look at and allowed them to vote on their favorite house.
