This fall, the orientation room at Mary Gates Hall ran out of chairs. 149 new students joined Comm Lead, the largest cohort in program history. By year's end, our community had grown to over 1300 alumni making their mark across industries.

2025 brought momentum. In March, over 1,000 professionals joined Connects 2025, our flagship free learning event featuring industry leaders tackling what communication professionals must focus on right now. Our AI short course expanded to three offerings, equipping over 70 professionals to lead AI integration ethically and authentically in their organizations.

Students turned learning into impact. Through Comm Lead Consulting, 63 students contributed over 4,000 volunteer hours across 58 real-world projects. Graduates stepped confidently into roles at companies like TikTok and Amazon, while new students discovered that strong communication isn't about having the loudest voice but designing spaces where people want to participate.

From classrooms buzzing with AI debates to Screen Summit's standing ovations, 2025 proved something essential: this community doesn't just teach communication. It creates the space where breakthroughs happen and belonging takes root.
