Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk 2026
π¬π΄ππ»ββοΈWe have a really awesome FALL FUNDRAISER! πππΆπ»ββοΈ
We still would LOVE more Arlington walkers!! Will you make this an activity for your family?
(If you can't physically make it that day πβ½πβΎπ« 𧳠that's ok too! You can REGISTER as a virtual walker for each member of your family and Arlington will get 100% of the funds if you check the box TEF Torrance Education Foundation)
The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship walk is a 3.4 mile long walk down a path lined with students, families, neighbors, community members, and even cheerleaders from the local high schools! We will start at Manhattan Pier and walk towards Hermosa Pier and then walk back.
Last year there were 20ft skeletons at one part of the sand along our walk. π
The PTA raises funds for the field trip busses, assemblies, and special events for the kids such as movie night, and a winter dance!
VERY IMPORTANT: When you register you MUST:
β Join team Arlington
β
Register as a walker (in-person or virtual)
β Check TEF: Torrance Education Foundation for our school to get the funds
β
Register each individual person in your family for 1 walker at $30/ea. (All family members can be under the same email)
Any questions: email Chrystal Pastell at vp2.arlingtonpta@gmail.com and she will help you out right away!
After the walk (around 11:30am) we plan to hang out at Manhattan beach for an Arlington family beach day! *parking underground is 10 hours*
Bring your lunch, snacks, swim clothes or go back to the car to grab it and hang with us!

THE LIBRARY IS OPEN! ππππ
It takes a lot of work to get the library open for the start of our school year. Tuesday the 22nd was the first day it was open for the students yay!
The PTA organizes the books, orders new books, repairs older books, and schedules the volunteers to cover the shifts for each of the classes. The rest of the days during this past week - each class took a turn visiting the library and checking out books. Checking out a book in the school library is optional - some students are reading a book from home or from their classroom library.
As the 4th and 5th graders waited for their classmates to finish checking out books, they sat and read QUIETLY in the hallway. Good job, superstars!
