Brickie Kidz Preschool

My name is Cheryl Bunch-Cornett and I am proud to be the teacher at Brickie Kidz Preschool at the HHS location.

I have been part of the Brickie Kidz program at the high school since the program’s inception in 2010.

I earned my undergraduate degree in P-3/with Mild Intervention from Saint Mary-Of-the-Woods College and in 2019 I received my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

I have the opportunity to prepare preschoolers for kindergarten as I foster the development of the whole child - cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally. It is the absolute best of both worlds!

I have two daughters of my own, who are now adults with degrees in nursing and marketing….whew, where did the time go! I also am the mom to two crazy but sweet furbabies who keep me busy.

My name is Cortney Harris and I am the teacher for Brickie Kidz Preschool here at the ELC.

Early Childhood has always been a passion of mine. I earned my degree in Early Childhood from Purdue University Calumet and started my career teaching preschool for Head Start in Porter County.

After taking some time away from teaching to stay home with my own family, I landed back in the classroom teaching preschool for Brickie Kidz.

My motto for teaching comes from Kid President "Make everybody feel like a Somebody". I look forward to partnering with you to make your child's first start to school, the best that it can be!
