Tuesday, June 23 - LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!, Outdoor Games Day
HAVE A GREAT SUMMER. SEE YOU IN THE FALL!
Tuesday is Outdoor Games Day! We’ll be spending the afternoon outside playing a variety of fun games together.
If your child has a favourite outdoor game or equipment, they are welcome to bring it in to share and play with the class.
Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather and has a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen if needed.
June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to honour and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples.
There are many local events happening throughout June, including storytelling, songs, medicine walks, bannock making, Métis Fest, Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations, and events at the Strathcona County Library.
Families are encouraged to scan the QR code on the poster to access links to all of these events and more!

Principal's Message
Dear St. Luke School Families,
Well, this one is coming straight from my heart tonight!
We have spent the day celebrating students, celebrating acheivements and celebrating the incredible commuinity we have at STL. We are more than teachers and students, more than colleagues... we are like family.
When I first walked in the doors of STL, I could feel the positivity that radiated out of the doors.
It has been one of my greatest blessings to have journeyed with the students and staff of STL this year and am even more blessed that they are letting me come back for another year!
Your children are imprinted on my heart and I will miss seeing them each day until September. I will miss morning supervision where parents and students alike arrived with smiles on, ready for another day and cherish the conversation with parents that filled my heart.
Thank you to this community and the parents for walking along side me while I learned the landscape. I can't wait to see what we accomplish next year.. together!
May God bless you and your family. Sending all my love to each of you for a fun filled and safe summer and I look forward to September!
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Kristie Phelan

Learners and Learning
Congratulations to some more of our grade 2/3 students who earned their black belts.
A special congratulations also goes out to our students who have reached Sensei Level too! These students have gone above and beyond by not only mastering their multiplication facts but also showing strong understanding of division facts. This is an incredible achievement that demonstrates persistence, confidence, and deep mathematical thinking.
Way to go, Black Belt mathematicians and Sensei scholars. You should be very proud of all your hard work!
