The News
I just wanted to share some great news with you. Our state report card was released on Thursday. For the second straight year we have improved. Our score will be an 87, up from an 85 last year and 77 the year prior.
Our academic achievement score increased from 56.45 to a 59.89.
Our academic growth score remained at 100.
Our graduation rate dropped from 92.05 to 90.00.
Our college/career readiness increased from 80.68 to 90.
Our chronic absenteeism decreased from 18.78 to 11.47.
This was a result of a great job by our teachers and our students.
Our basketball teams started the season with a three game week. Our varsity boys are off to a 3-0 start with wins over Tharptown, Winston County and Cherokee. Our varsity girls beat Tharptown and Cherokee. Our junior high teams also got wins over the same teams this week.
We hosted a Veterans Day program on Monday. We are always proud to host Veterans on this special day, many of which are related to our students and staff members.
Have A Great Week!

Unauthorized Sales of School Merchandise
As you may know it has become easier and easier for individuals to screen print shirts, hoodies, pants, etc.
There are more and more community members who are trying to profit from our school and our programs, in particular athletic programs by using our logos, Phil Campbell High School, Phil Campbell Bobcats, Phil Campbell football, etc. illegally and unethically. They may not know it is illegal to do this but they should know ethically they are taking money away from our programs, our kids, and our school.
If you are doing this, we kindly ask that you stop immediately. If you have done business with any of our teams, programs or the school, be advised if you want to have the opportunity to continue to do business with Phil Campbell High School you need to cease and desist selling Phil Campbell merchandise immediately. This is any merchandise with our logo and/or implied logos and sports (example: Phil Campbell Bobcat Baseball, Phil Campbell Bobcat Band, etc.).
You are welcome to get permission from the school and program to sell gear as long as the school or program gets a percentage. However, you must get written permission. This is the same agreement we have with stores like Wal Mart, CVS, etc. that sell school-labeled merchandise.
I hate that it has come to this but people have got so brazen they don't seem to care that they are infringing on our students fundraising abilities out of their own personal interests.
Just to be clear, the school will NOT sign an purchase order for any merchandise purchased from a vendor violating these rules.
