As we look ahead to wrapping up this amazing academic year 🎓✨, we’ll be focusing on sight-reading to prepare for our end-of-year assessments 🎼. Mr. Overton—our incredible student teacher 👨‍🏫—will also continue rehearsing the repertoire he’s thoughtfully selected for us.

We’ve got one final competition coming up on April 24th at DBU 🎤🏆! Our fabulous combined Varsity Treble will be representing us at Festival di Voce. Please continue to lift them up 💙 and keep them in your thoughts as they work hard to deliver a final performance that’s sure to touch everyone’s heart 💖.

SSR Letter Jackets will be at Coppell High School on Thursday, May 8th, starting at 12:00 p.m. during lunch in the Indoor area to take orders for letter jackets.
If you are interested in ordering a choir letterman jacket, please note that in order to qualify for the jacket, you must have accumulated 20 points from the letter qualifying chart listed below. If you have earned the required points and would like to purchase a jacket, please email Mrs. Coogle with the completed document, ensuring that the school year is written in the far left column.

Please be aware that students will be responsible for paying for the jacket. The price chart is provided below for your reference.

If you are unsure whether you qualify, please feel free to email Mrs. Coogle anyway. It’s better to have your name on the list, even if you decide not to purchase the jacket, than to miss the opportunity to order later.

Deadline: All emails must be received by April 15, 2025, so that Mrs. Coogle can ensure your name is added to the Choir letter list for the company.

The Wheelice ‘Pete’ Wilson, Jr. Memorial Scholarship program will award at least two (2) scholarships to Coppell students who have demonstrated significant appreciation for and dedication to the arts and/or the Coppell community. The minimum scholarship award will be $1,000.

• Students must be a current resident of Coppell or have attended a Coppell school.

• Students must be enrolled in a two- or four-year undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university during the award period.

• Past scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply if they continue to meet the criteria for selection.

Applications are due April 25, 2025.

Ms. Coogle will be hosting an informational session with Music Adventure International on Tuesday, April 29th at 6:30 PM in the CHS Choir Room.

The ensemble will be traveling to six different countries to perform—an incredible opportunity! Attending the information session does not mean you are committing to the trip; it's simply a chance to learn more.

All-State auditions are required of all Coppell Choir Varsity Singers. Summer All-State Choir Camp is a great way for you to get a head start on your All-State music and a great way to meet new friends over your summer break. You will come back in the fall with a head start on learning and preparation.

SRF Monthly Quizzes

You will take a monthly SRF quiz at the end of every month. This will be a Performance Tasks

Grade. You only get 2 tries so be sure that your wifi connection is good and your audio sound is

on. You have the entire month to take the quiz. Every month’s quiz will be due on the LAST

FRIDAY of the month at 10PM. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

SRF Practice Log

Each singer is expected to practice sight reading on SRF for 10 minutes per week (2 minutes

each day of the week) and 40 minutes per month. This will be a completion grade. SRF will

keep track of all your practice log data. We will give one Performance Tasks monthly SRF

Practice Log each month. Please be sure to practice SRF weekly. Each week will start on SUNDAY and end on SATURDAY.
