Planning for 2017-2018

This week, Mrs. McCloud met with all current 6th and 7th graders to go over course request information for the 2017-2018 school year. 6th graders brought home a blue course request sheet and 7th graders brought home an orange course request sheet. These are due back to their social studies or history teacher ASAP, but absolutely no later than Thursday, April 13th.

If you would like to see the PowerPoint that was shared with the students, it is on the KMS website under counselor forms. If you have additional questions, please contact Mrs. McCloud at amy.mccloud@krumisd.net or 940-482-2563.

Current 8th graders will receive this information from the high school counselors at a later date. KMS counselors have not yet received those dates. If you have questions concerning this, please contact the high school.

Trial of Spongebob Squarepants with Mrs. Banks

This week students are searching through evidence to see who killed Mr. Krabs. After going through evidence, students will create an opening statement, a way to present their evidence, and a closing statement. Trials are set for Thursdayand Friday.

Next week we will be learning about Cornell notes and how to pin-point the important information from articles we read. Students will be researching a topic for the next couple of weeks.

KMS Boys Compete in NTAL District Zone Meet

The Krum Middle School boys track team traveled to Bridgeport Tuesday night to compete in their first NTAL zone track meet. Seven teams attended the zone meet: Argyle, Bridgeport, Decatur, Gainesville, Krum and Sanger. Both the 7th and 8th grade teams performed well with the 7th grade finishing third overall and the 8th grade finishing second.

Athletes that finished in the top four of their event advance to the “Meet of Champions” next week in Springtown. All track team members and Coaches Enloe and Wildenstein have done a great job this year. Krum Middle School will be well represented at the final track meet of the year. Please support these young men as they prepare for this contest.
