STAY CONNECTED
DEAR FAMILIES
We are off to a wonderful start this school year, and there is so much to look forward to in the weeks ahead! Thank you for the support you’ve already shown. it makes such a difference in creating a positive and successful school community.
We encourage you to stay connected by volunteering when you can, checking in often with your child’s teacher, and continuing to partner with us in your child’s learning journey. At home, one of the most impactful things you can do is simply talk with your child. Give them a few minutes of uninterrupted one-on-one time each day to ask about their day, listen, and celebrate their efforts. Those small moments mean so much.
And please remember, you are not in this alone. We are here for you, too. If you ever have questions, concerns, or just need support, don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can make this school year an amazing one!
With appreciation,
Your Admin Team 😁

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Let’s give a big shout-out to McCullough Cougars for helping lead the pack in attendance recognition last school year! Your efforts made a real impact, and we want to keep that momentum going strong.
As we start a new year, we need your child here every day and on time.
Arriving on time allows students to put their belongings away, eat breakfast, and get settled before learning begins. A strong, consistent start to the day sets the tone for success in the classroom!
The doors open at 7:15 a.m.
READING ROCKSTAR
Reading is the foundation for all learning, and our goal is for 100% of our scholars to pass IREAD.
In addition to coming to school every day, paying attention in class, and completing homework, here are a few powerful ways you can help at home:
-
Read daily with your child. Even 15 minutes a day makes a huge difference.
-
Ask questions while reading. Talk about the story, the characters, and what might happen next to build comprehension.
-
Encourage your child to read aloud. This helps with fluency, confidence, and vocabulary.
-
Make reading part of everyday life. Read recipes, signs, labels, or anything around you together.
-
Be a reading role model. Let your child see you enjoying books, newspapers, or magazines.
Together, we can build strong, confident readers who are ready for success. Not just on IREAD, but for life!
