Parker Student Ambassadors will be sponsoring their first fundraiser of the year "Comfort for Cancer". All proceeds will go towards blankets and other comfy items for patients at Lowell General Hospital. The fundraiser will be happening during the week of 12/19-12/23 in conjunction with our first Spirit Week. Student Ambassadors will be accepting donations during lunch times on those days. See below and the attached flyer for daily themes.

Wednesday, 12/21: PJs & comfy clothes

Thursday 12/22: Dress up like a gift

Friday, 12/23: Wear your ugly sweaters

The activity card allows students to take full advantage of any clubs they wish to attend. The after-school activities run from 2:40-3:40 on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday throughout the year. Students also have the option of taking a late bus home. The routes are posted in the school and will not be posted publicly. We will work with students and the drivers to be sure students take the correct bus home. Since we only have 3 late buses, the stops tend to be more spread out than the “regular” bus runs. After activities, students who are not taking a bus will exit the school into the Crooked Spring Road lot and can be picked up there. Please see the attachments below for details and descriptions

The Lost & Found racks are very full of your student's "stuff". Coats, hats, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch bags, note books and much much more. Please ask your students to check for any lost items. All unclaimed items will be donated on Friday, December 23rd.

Reminder to Parker Families - Cold weather is rolling in....Parker students will still be going outside for recess/outside break. Please remember to BUNDLE UP, warm coats, hats and gloves are recommended.

To report a Student Absent:

Email: ParkerAttendance@chelmsford.k12.ma.us

Please Send Email: Prior to 9am on the day of the absence (same as current voicemail option) Please Include: Child’s name, Grade, and Reason for absence.

We encourage you to use the email option when reporting an absence, dismissal, etc. Parents are still free to use the phone system to report absences, but you are encouraged to use email for greater office efficiency.

If you prefer, you can certainly call the attendance line prior to 9:00am, at 978-251-5133, extension #4100.

**NEW THIS YEAR** Please read:

We will continue to send automated emails when students are absent. The email serves as notification that your student is not in school and will be marked absent.

In order for an absence to be marked as "Excused", families will need to provide medical documentation.

Dear Parents and Families;

To better estimate the demand for lunches on half days, CPS Nutrition has launched online lunch ordering for HALF DAYS ONLY.

For the upcoming half day -- Wednesday 12/7/22 -- orders must be received by Friday 12/2/22.

2022-23 CPS Upcoming Half Day/Early Release dates

• Tuesday, 1/10
• Wednesday, 2/8
• Thursday, 3/2
• Thursday, 4/13

If you would like your child to have lunch on future half days, the online ordering is open for you to go ahead and select those dates.
