Mrs. Raber's Corner: Spring Celebrations
At Anderson School, spring was quite eventful!
We have a new brand that was voted on by students and staff. We even made our own shirts with this new design thanks to Mr. Ganz! We wore these shirts at our senior send off picnic.
As you will see below, we built community in many ways, with our Career Day, our Spring Festival, Earth Day, our senior send off picnic and our graduation.
Class of 2026 Makes it Happen!
Anderson proudly celebrated a meaningful milestone as 15 outstanding seniors graduated, marking the culmination of their hard work, perseverance, and growth. This year’s graduating class has truly embodied resilience, demonstrating strength and determination in the face of challenges while continually supporting one another along the way.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the dedication and care of our incredible staff. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing coaching, encouragement, and unwavering support they provided every step of the way. From academic guidance to social-emotional support, our staff helped our students build the skills and confidence needed to reach this important milestone. Their commitment truly makes a difference in the lives of our students.
We are especially proud to recognize two students for their exceptional achievements:
Kylie from Upper Moreland School District, recipient of the Montgomery County Community College Scholarship, honoring her dedication and commitment to her future goals. Max from Spring-Ford Area School District, recipient of the Thomas Marrone Resiliency Award, recognizing her perseverance and ability to overcome challenges with strength and determination.
As we celebrate this group of seniors, we also celebrate the relationships they’ve built and the example they’ve set for others. Their compassion, teamwork, and resilience have defined their journey and inspired those around them.
We congratulate each of our 15 graduates and wish them continued success as they take their next steps. We are confident that they will carry forward the same strength and kindness that have made them such an important part of our school community.
Spring Arts and Education Festival
Our Spring Festival was packed with creativity and energy! Students showed off amazing art, cool tech projects from computer science, live performances, tasty snacks, art therapy and so much more. A perfect mix of talent, innovation, community and fun 🌼 Special thanks to Mrs. Lamparella and all of her staff helpers for making it happen!
Real World Experiences
Career Day
Huge thank you to all the friends, families, and community members who joined us for Career Day in April! With 22 presenters — chef, police, Mayor of Downingtown, archaeologist, vet tech, barber, engineer, and many others — our students were engaged, inspired, and full of great questions.
Financial Literacy Fair at Anderson School
Our 11th and 12th grade students also took on the Financial Reality Fair —budgeting, “shopping” for real‑life expenses, and even spinning the Wheel of Reality. Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers from police, fire, PA Careerlink, @MCIU, MontcoWorks Now, our counselor Mrs. Doll and more for making this hands‑on learning experience possible.
Earth Day 2026
Anderson celebrated Earth Day by getting our hands a little dirty — in the best way. We planted flowers to bring more color and life into our space, and we picked up trash to help keep our community clean. Small actions add up, and today reminded us how much we can accomplish when we work together. Here’s to taking care of the planet that takes care of us!
