Community Connections Award
The Center of Worship's FBI - Fathers Being Involved were the recipients of the October Community Connections Award.
The FBI is a valued partner of the Miller’s Point Elementary community. What began as a one-time event has grown into a partnership that continues to make a positive difference for students, staff, and families.
Each month, FBI volunteers line the sidewalk during morning drop-off, creating a spirit tunnel that welcomes students with smiles, encouragement, and enthusiasm. Their presence helps start the school day on a positive note, and students, parents, and staff look forward to their visits.
The FBI also supports the campus throughout the year by donating school supplies, providing food donations during Thanksgiving, and contributing gifts through the Angel Tree program during the holiday season. They also participate in the Million Fathers March, where they serve as positive male role models and help students feel supported and encouraged as they walk them to class.
Through their generosity, commitment, and willingness to give both their time and resources, the FBI has made a meaningful impact on the Miller’s Point Elementary community.
