Traffic Update

As you might have noticed, upon our return from the Fall Break, the sidewalk by the South Yard is now closed due to construction. Right now, it is not fully closed but it will be once the south yard fence is taken down and the temporary fence is put up, enclosing also the the trailer that is now parked there.

Starting tomorrow, and to get everyone who walks to school used to it, we recommend that you start using the new crossing area we will be monitored during the 15 minutes before school starts, and 10 minutes after we dismiss the students.

Please also remember these important facts:

• Paloma becomes one way during those times
• If you want to park to pick up your children, do it in the adjacent streets.
• You cannot park in the drop off/pick up line
• You cannot park on the read zone
• You can't park in the disability zone
• You need to pull forward as much as possible to allow space for other cars behind you
• The drop off/pick-up has to be quick and efficient
• You cannot cross the street in the middle of it - you need to use the crosswalks.
• Be focused and attentive to the road at all times, even if you are waiting for other cars to move - put your phones away.
• Remember we are all well educated adults - treat others with respect and kindness - mostly in front of the children we are all trying to educate to be good citizens.

If we all follow these, we will have very good and smooth beginning and ending of each day.
