School Nurse Notes! School Nurse Notes!

Happy Fall!

Please send your child to school with layers of clothing. The weather is getting cooler during outdoor recess, though the building itself can remain warm. Now is a great time to pack a hat and gloves in your child’s backpack to keep available throughout the fall and winter, as we aim to hold recess outside whenever possible.

Feel free to send lip balm/chapstick for your student to keep in their desk—please label it with their initials. In addition, remember to send your child with a refillable water bottle every day. Encouraging hydration helps prevent chapped lips and dry skin as the weather changes.

Health Screenings

Vision and hearing screenings for required grade levels are now complete. If you are following up with a specialist regarding a failed screening, please remember to share their recommendations with the school nurse.

Thank you!

Please always feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
