Happy Hot Friday everyone, it has been such a fun week! We celebrated our DCS spirit with Spirit Week. We had hats, and stuffies, mono color outfits, and wacky hair! Wednesday was one of the best field trips where we travelled to Adam's Playground. We enjoyed time in the pool, playing on the playground and a hot dog lunch prepared by Mrs. Hopkins and Miss Vicki. It was precious to hear how many kids thought it was the best day ever! That night was a sweet event where the 4th and 5th grade students prepared a spaghetti dinner to share with their parents. It is a lovely tradition! Mrs. Quinn is an amazing event coordinator with lots of help from the students. Thursday we bid Mrs. Gregg a happy retirement with flowers, a pretty shawl and a special book from the students. This afternoon we are celebrating the amazing effort our students put forth on the MAP testing with a fun afternoon that includes building, games, art, and time with the new chicks! Out students grew 5% in the percentage of students that achieved the identified benchmark in math and 28% in the percentage of students in reading!! Well done students and staff!

Have a lovely weekend and please consider completing the linked survey. Nicole
