Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
March 21, 2025
We had another full week at the Lab!
It was wonderful to have such an amazing turnout for Spring Family Night! Thank you to the Related Arts team for carrying the initial planning, to our PTA and Caliday partners for enhancing the event, and to our fabulous staff for their contributions during the evening and ongoing efforts to make this school a place where kids want to be. We appreciate being a part of a fun evening for your families.
We are excited for a few more fun events on the calendar! On Sunday, the PTA is hosting the Young Entrepreneur Fair at school from 1:00 - 3:00pm. There are 37 LL students and 21 local businesses participating with a range of offerings from food and drinks to comics and jewelry and hair tinsel and much more!
Looking ahead, we have Kindergarten Round Up on March 31st, Spring Pictures during the day and the Art Show in the evening on April 2nd and Career Day and end of MP3 early release on April 4th!
A few weeks choke full of action coming up!
In Partnership,
Mr. McComb

Kindergarten (and Pre-K) Round-Up
Please help us spread the word for Kindergarten (and Pre-K) Round-Up! The event will be Monday March 31st!
We are seeking children in our school zone who will be enrolling for Kindergarten (5 years of age on or before September 1, 2025) or Pre-K* (4 years of age on or before September 1, 2025)
Attending families will have the opportunity to:
- Meet school staff, including a Kindergarten teacher
- Tour the school building
- Ask questions of school administration, front office team, and support staff (counselor, nurse)
*Note that Lutherville Lab does not house a Pre-K program, but families seeking BCPS Pre-K can register with our school and be placed at an adjacent school with the program, if they qualify.
Please help spread the word by sharing to any childcare providers and community groups with whom you may be associated!
The event is by appointment. Families seeking to register should contact Kelly McDevitt: kmcdevitt@bcps.org or call Lutherville at 443-809-7800

Roarin' Run - How it's Going and How to Support
At the time of this report we are at $1,315 which is 22% of our goal. We congratulate Hannah T. from 1st grade for being our first raffle winner - a $35 gift card to Play It Again Sports.
How does this all work again?
Step 1: A student's friends, family or they themselves makes an online donation or writes a check to Lutherville Lab PTA.
Step 2: On their pledge sheets (see colors below), the student's parents/guardians sign to confirm each donation/pledge has been received.
Step 3: The students return their sponsor pages, either one slip at a time or all at once, to the front office. On Kelly McDevitt's desk is a clear box where each slip is entered for a raffle prize.
Step 4: Each Fri on the morning announcements Mr. McComb will announce one winner (or more, if we can!) for the raffle prize(s).
Pledge forms (extra at Mrs. McDevitt's desk):
K - light green, 1st - yellow, 2nd - dark green, 3rd - red, 4th - orange, 5th - blue
Can you support the Roarin' Run by sharing out?
Only 4% of the PTA budget comes from PTA dues. This last big fundraiser of the year will allow us to cover all the items in our budget including Goalbook, classroom reimbursements, club stipends and a spirit wear item for each student and so much more.
Our goal is to seek sponsorships from community partners so that less comes out of our personal pockets. So if you’re able to bring this letter to a business you enjoy and make a request for support, we would GREATLY appreciate it!
