STUDENT PERSONAL DEVICES
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to inform you of a new Texas state law (House Bill 1481) that requires all public school districts to restrict student use of personal communication devices during the instructional day. These devices include cell phones, smartwatches, wireless earbuds and similar technology. Effective immediately, all personal communication devices must remain turned off and out of sight from the first bell to dismissal.
While students may still bring personal communication devices to campus, use during the instructional day is strictly prohibited. Any device that is visible or in use during instructional hours will be considered a violation of the Student Code of Conduct and may result in disciplinary action.
STUDENT DRESS CODE
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
At T.H. McDonald Junior High, we are committed to removing barriers so every student can start the year ready to succeed. This year, the school will provide all basic school supplies for our students, including pens, paper, notebooks, composition books, pencils, and binders.
Thanks to our use of Chromebooks, most classroom needs will be met without parents having to purchase additional supplies. If students would like personalized or specialty items—such as custom folders, designer notebooks, or unique pens—families are welcome to purchase those separately.
Our goal is to ensure every Panther has what they need from day one so we can focus on learning, growth, and success. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to make this the best school year yet!
