Special Education Survey
If you have a child receiving special education services, we are requesting your participation in a brief survey required by the Nebraska Department of Education. Please complete this survey at your earliest convenience. It will be open until April but we would greatly appreciate you completing it sooner rather than later. Thank you for your time as well as your feedback.

O-C Hosts Post-Season Volleyball
The Oakland-Craig Lady Knights will host a district final on Saturday, November 1 at 5 p.m. for a chance to punch their ticket to State.
Free & Reduced Meals
We have seen a decrease in free and reduced numbers this year. This can have an impact on some of our funding, as certain programs are funded based on the percentage of students qualifying for free and reduced meals. I've included the income eligibility guidelines for free and reduced meals. If you feel you may qualify, we would strongly encourage you to apply right away. Questions can be directed to Julie Ehlers at jehlers@ocknights.org or 402-685-5661.
Student Accident Insurance
As the winter activity season approaches, we want to remind you that you have the opportunity to purchase additional coverage. Student accident insurance provides financial assistance with your out-of-pocket medical expenses when
your student sustains an accidental bodily injury. Use the link to learn more:
Social Emotional Learning
Oakland-Craig offers a great deal of social emotional supports for our students. All students have a weekly guidance lesson with elementary using the Second Step curriculum and the Jr-Sr. High using the Social Institute curriculum. We also offer a mental health club for Jr-Sr. High students. In addition, we do offer the opportunity to participate in individual counseling services for a small number of students each year.
Staff Appreciation Opportunity
If you are looking to show some appreciation to an OC staff member, consider purchasing a beverage from Dillstrom's Fika Kafe. They have a list of staff favorites and deliver to school every Tuesday and Thursday.
