CME PTO Weekly

Well, that's a wrap on our Ninja Cougar Challenge fundraiser, and you all DELIVERED!!! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise over $32,000, which is incredible!! We are so excited to get the ball rolling on our new STEM Lab as soon as we can, so that it's up and running before the school year ends!

We know that there are lots of very worthy organizations that you could give your money to, so we do not take a single donation for granted. Thank you to ALL of our generous donors for supporting our amazing school, and thank you to Ninja Nation and all of our wonderful students and teachers for making this such a fun and special event!!

Eva Riches, a second grader in Ms DeLeon’s class, took her fundraising opportunity very seriously this year and was the TOP EARNER of all the students at Copper Mesa! As the top earner, Eva was able to choose a friend to have lunch with, and she chose Corner Bakery with her friend, Emelia. We are so proud of you, and thank you for all of your support, Eva!!

Also, big congratulations to Ms DeLeon’s WHOLE CLASS, for raising the most money of all the classrooms this year!! By raising $3,305, they have earned themselves a pizza party! We appreciate all of the efforts of all of our teachers in hyping up the students and making it fun to get involved - thank you teachers, and extra special thank you, Ms DeLeon!!

Fall Conferences are coming up next week, and we always like to make sure our teachers and staff are taken care of and stay nourished. If you are able to bring in a food item, or help set up or clean up in the lounge, please check out the sign up HERE. We appreciate your help in keeping our teachers happy while they work so hard to meet with every single one of us!

During the week of October 18th, Copper Mesa parents, family members, and friends are invited to attend your first SPENGA workout for FREE! When you come in, you can tell the front desk which Copper Mesa teacher you're supporting.

At the end of the week:

🏆 The teacher with the most supporters will receive $100 to use for themselves or their classroom.

💚 SPENGA will donate $10 for every new guest who attends (up to $300) directly to the Copper Mesa PTO

If you are a current SPENGA member, or you've taken a class before, you can still participate in supporting a teacher that week!

If you are unfamiliar with SPENGA, it's a great 60 minute workout that incorporates 20 minutes each of SPin, strENgth, and yoGA. It's a great workout that you can take at your own pace, in a fun, motivating environment. Why not give it a try for FREE, support CME and try to get $100 for your teacher? 💚💛

Our Son Event committee is working hard to bring us a super fun event to enjoy some quality time with our boys. We will be welcoming Nerf Turf to Copper Mesa, a company that facilitates fun and safe nerf wars inside the school! Save the date for November 7th, from 4-6pm. Tickets will be $20 for the first son/parent pair, and $10 per additional son. Boys must be 5 years old to participate. There will be a food truck to enjoy afterwards, if you’d like to stay and hang a little longer (we are working on selecting a good one!). Tickets will be available via MySchoolBucks soon!

Got a knack for party planning? Love reaching out to local businesses? Looking to get your hands dirty (We know for a fact there are some interested dads out there!)?

We are always looking for volunteers for Teacher/Staff Appreciation, our Daughter Event, our Son Event, School Beautification, our Spring Fundraiser, etc. If you would like to volunteer with PTO in any way, please let us know.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.

The purpose of the program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.

COPPER MESA YEARBOOK

Help us create a memorable yearbook by sharing your pictures with our yearbook committee. This can be at school events, spirit rock, class parties, class field trips, school clubs, etc. Please email photos to coppermesayearbook@gmail.com and include your child’s name and teacher.

KING SOOPERS CARDS

One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.

We are collecting Longmont Dairy Milk Caps again this year. There is a box near the front office desk where you can deposit them. Thank you!

Customizable Spirit Wear is always available at Schmancy Tees and Gifts. Orders take about two weeks and are delivered right to your child’s classroom.
