🎨 ARTS ALIVE 2025 – What a Day at WCHS! 🎶

What an incredible celebration of creativity, talent, and community we experienced during Arts Alive 2025! Our halls, sidewalks, and outdoor spaces came alive with color, sound, and imagination – and it wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of so many.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Kiko, Mr. Ehlen, Mrs. Yarano, Mrs. Deck, Mrs. Casto, Mrs. Herrick, Mrs. Levakis, Mrs. Fahning, Mrs. Farris, Ms. Wince, Ms. Day, Mrs. Mahoney, Mr. Mahoney, Mrs.Mieras,

Coach Franke, Mr. Poretta and Mr. Park for pouring your energy and passion into making this year’s event the best one yet!

Here’s a look back at some of the highlights:

🎨 CHALK WALK – Over 75 breathtaking chalk murals transformed our sidewalks into a living gallery. Students impressed us with their talent and creativity – and thanks to everyone who respected the art by walking around, not on it!

🖼️ ART GALLERY – Our hallway near the media center was packed with incredible artwork from students across the year. It was inspiring to see our school community engaging so respectfully with these pieces.

🎵 MUSIC PERFORMANCES – From band and orchestra to choir and solo acts, our outdoor stage was full of beautiful music and proud performers. Thanks to everyone who came out to support them!

🎬 FILM FESTIVAL – The auditorium became a cinema, showing off student film projects from periods 2 through 10. A big thanks to teachers who brought their classes to enjoy the creativity on screen.

🎨 GUEST ARTIST – Miss Birdy captivated students with her live spray-paint demonstrations. It was an amazing opportunity for students to learn from a professional in action!

🌟 POP-UP ART TABLES – The lawn was buzzing with handmade goods, face painting, henna tattoos, and student-designed Arts Alive stickers. It was a true marketplace of artistic expression!

🧪 TIE-DYE with Chemistry – Color and science met on the northeast corner as our chemistry students created vibrant tie-dye designs for all to see.

🥧 PIE A TEACHER– We ended the day with lots of laughs as Mrs. Mieras and Mr. Park took pies to the face in the name of school spirit and fun!

👕 Many of you rocked your Arts Alive 2025 T-shirts – thank you to everyone who supported by ordering one!

This event reminded us just how alive the arts are at WCHS!

🎉 Until next year...

Panorama Spring Survey 2025

Dear Warhawk Families,

As a school system, we are always seeking ways to improve the various services that we make available to our students and families. One of our primary efforts of late has been to learn how we can best support students on not just their academic needs, but also on a social-emotional level.

In order to learn more about student experiences in Westerville City Schools, we will be seeking students’ opinions via an online needs assessment/survey that they will complete in the coming weeks. We expect the survey to take approximately ten to fifteen minutes to complete.

Per Board Policy 2416, parents have the right to inspect any survey or evaluation created by a third party before it is distributed or administered to their child. This survey has been revised and reduced but no new areas have been added. Links you can use to view the survey content are provided below.

Demo Survey, grades 6-12 here (click link) or go to: https://tinyurl.com/Panorama6-12

If you would like your child to opt out of taking this survey, complete the Panorama Spring 2025 google form by April 25, 2025.

We thank you in advance for your support of our efforts. If you have any questions about these surveys or their administration, please do not hesitate to contact Stacy Smith, Assistant Principal at 614-797-6800.

Clinic Updates

Hello Warhawk Families!

I can’t believe we are already approaching the last month of the school year. This is the time things start to get very busy, so I wanted to share a few end of year reminders.

If your student has medications at school:

  • Epipens, inhalers, and NON controlled prescription medications will be sent home with students on the last day of school. If you want to pick it up instead, please reach out to make arrangements.

  • All CONTROLLED medications are required to be picked up by a parent or designated adult.

  • Any medication that is not picked up by the last day of school will be disposed of.

  • Please note: If your student will need medication next school year, forms have to be updated yearly in August

  • All forms are on the Health Services page under “Medical Forms”, or in Schoolcare. If you need printed copies, please let me know.

Immunization information:

  • All incoming seniors for the 25-26 school year will need the REQUIRED Meningitis MCV4 booster before the first day of school. If your student has already had this done, please notify me or send me an updated record.

  • Students that do not have all immunizations required by state law, or an exemption form on file for any missing immunizations, will not be permitted to attend school starting Monday 9/8/25

  • A list of immunizations required by Ohio state law can be found here
