LMHS Updates

Semester 2 (and quarter 3) begins on Tuesday, January 20. This represents a fresh start for everyone as some new classes begin, and even for yearlong classes as all grades reset. It's a good time to think about our goals for the second half of the year ... what we can all do to improve and ensure a great semester!

Teachers will have until Thursday, January 22 to finalize grades from first semester. We expect to distribute report cards on Friday, January 23.

Dean of Students Nicole Maddalena will be out of school on medical leave starting Wednesday, January 21 for several weeks. During this time, please contact Principal Gregg Brighenti with any concerns or issues that you would normally direct to Dean Maddalena. We wish her well, and hope for her speedy recovery!

We are happy to report that LMHS was named to the latest College Board AP Honor Roll due to last year's Advanced Placement testing results. This recognition is awarded to high schools whose AP programs are successful at both delivering results for students (high AP exam scores, college credit) and broadening access, meaning more diverse student groups are participating in AP courses and exams.

At the beginning of each semester, we like to remind everyone of the Lee Public Schools Bullying Policy. Anyone - parent, student, staff, or any observer - can report suspected bullying or harassment. No special form is necessary. Contact the office to speak with someone; or if you prefer, you may use the anonymous online reporting tool located on the LMHS web page - just click on the "See Something, Do Something" box.
