The Akron School District ordered a new activity bus in February of 2023. The new bus finally arrived after several production delays due to supply chain issues. Just before Christmas break, Superintendent Brian Christensen and Transportation Director Nancy Groom-Bullard made the trip to Denver to get the new bus. The new activity bus is a 77-passenger model with air conditioning. The new acquisition will allow one of the previous activity buses to be moved to a route and the oldest route bus to be retired.

Mrs. Blake and her preschool class have been working hard on number recognition. On Wednesday, the students filled the hallway with giggles as they played "Capture the Bacon". Students sat on opposite sides of the hall and if their number was called raced to the middle to capture the bacon before their classmates!

The building trades students have been working on their plumbing and construction skills by updating the sink workstation in the Ag Shop.

Students who are participating in MS and HS winter sports need to pay $30 to Mrs. Woods.
