Last night was opening night for Willy Wonka Jr. at the Dolan Performing Arts Center. It was a tremendous show with great acting, singing, dancing, and an amazing set. The lead roles were played by Lulu Laguarda, Henry Buletza, and Henry Wagg as Willy Wonka. Other prominent roles were performed by Phoenix Miller, Jackie Burns, Sebastian Harvey, Logan Conley, Melina Hines, Dorothy Wagg, Anna Carroll, and so many more. Come on out and see your friends on stage, the second show is tonight at 7:00 and the final performance will be at 2:00 on Saturday. It was such a fun show with many songs you might know and will enjoy. Saturday looks to be a very rainy day, so if your soccer or baseball game gets called off, the DPAC will be the place to go. This week the Appreciation Tapestry was presented to Beth Haltmeier, Brian Coelho, and Michael Coelho who are the Music Director/ Sound Effects Coordinator, Director/Choreographer, Assistant Director/Lighting Design Coordinator respectively. They did a tremendous job, not just during the show or during rehersals, but also for the countless hours they devoted to planning our Musical Theater Perfomance of Willy Wonka Jr. I am sure that the students, parents, and spectators appreciate you as much as we do - break a leg tonight!

My name is Katie Mosco and I am a part of the Interact club here at Ipswich High School which is known for helping the community and putting service above self. On May 30th we are having a town wide event called Relay for Life to raise money that will go to cancer research. Alana Novello and Emma Eliot ran this event last year, and with the help of the club this year we hope to make this event a huge success. Come to Relay for Life on May 30th from 5pm-9pm at the Ipswich Highschool track! The Interact Club at IHS is running a town wide event to raise money towards cancer research.
