AVA Family UpdateOctober 25, 2024

Good afternoon AVA Students and Families,

I have two items of note this week.

1. Our Homecoming Dance is Friday, November 22. Interested students should email me so I can get you the appropriate paperwork.

2. Our trimester one progress reports are coming up. Grades will posted on November 6.

The schedule and the guidance and community updates are listed below as usual, and I have left up the vital information for seniors a second week in case you missed it last week.

Thank you for your time.

NCAA Registration
Kind reminder: AVA students and families who are interested in participating in collegiate sports through the NCAA, please register online at the Eligibility Center website (linked HERE). Although you may register even after high school graduation, we strongly recommend doing so while still enrolled in high school to ensure a smoother transfer of school records. AVA's CEEB code for NCAA registration is: 220067.

Fall College Open Houses - BSU + RIC

Bridgewater State University is hosting 3 open house Saturdays: Oct. 26th, Nov. 2nd, and Nov. 16th! They are held from 9:30am to 2:00pm each day, and include great chances to not only tour the campus but also speak directly to their faculty and current students! Also, BSU is a great academic and financial safety option for many Attleboro college-bound students. Please click HERE for more information and links to register for an Open House day.

Rhode Island College is also hosting a free afternoon Open House on Nov. 2nd from 1pm to 4:30pm! They will also give tours as well as have info sessions about their popular degree programs in the STEM and Sports Management fields. Please click HERE to register with RIC.

FSA ID Night

The AHS Guidance Dept. is hosting an FSA ID Night on Nov. 21st from 4-6pm. The 2025-26 FAFSA is not open until Dec. 1st (more info about that HERE), but what families can do now is create their FSA IDs, which are needed to complete the FAFSA form. All AVA seniors and families are invited to attend this campus event; free pizza dinner will be provided! To register, please click HERE.

As always, please feel free to email me (nng@attleboroschools.com) with any questions, comments, or concerns. Have a magnificent weekend!
