Changes to your child’s dismissal/transportation plans need to be communicated to the

teacher AND the main office. If you need to make an occasional transportation change (car

rider instead of the bus, etc.) you must send a note to your child’s teacher. If that is not

possible, you may call the office on the day of the change before 2:00 p.m., so the office staff

has adequate time to notify your child’s teacher. You must provide a note or call each day that

you want your child to go home in a different manner than usual.

What if my child is arriving late to school?

Once the sign on the front drive is turned to tell you that you have arrived late, you will need to

walk your child into the main office. Please do not have your student exit the car and walk in

Can we walk our student in on the first day of school?

Yes, we allow you to walk your student down on the first day of school. You will need to park

in the front lot. There is no entry before 8:20 a.m. You will need to be out of the building by the

8:35 tardy bell. This is limited to the first few days of school only.

Volunteer at Stone Creek Volunteer at Stone Creek

We really hope to increase our parent involvement in Stone Creek during the 25-26 school year. One way we are looking to increase parent involvement is through volunteers at Stone Creek. We are looking for volunteers who want to work in the school, work at SCE special events, and volunteer from home.

If you are interested, you need to make sure you are an approved volunteer for WSD. Click here for details on how to become a volunteer! There is an annual step for renewal that must be completed before becoming a volunteer.

Please click on the button below to show your interest in becoming a Stone Creek Volunteer. This will help us build our list of who to communicate with when volunteers are needed. We can't wait to boost up our volunteers this year.

Student Birthdays at SCE Student Birthdays at SCE

Birthdays are special to your child and we want them to enjoy this occasion. At Stone Creek, we do not allow students to pass out birthday treats. This includes food and non food items. Our birthday leaders will make sure your child receives a birthday card from the school during his/her birthday month. Birthdays are also displayed on the TV's throughout the building for the entire month of their birthday. Summer birthdays are also displayed. Balloons are discouraged, as they are not permitted on the school bus. We ask that you refrain from sending birthday party invitations to school, unless you are inviting your child's entire class or all the boys or all the girls in the class.

WSD Cell Phone Policy WSD Cell Phone Policy

Please familiarize yourself with the upcoming change to District policy regarding student use of personal electronic communication devices (EPCDs). The policy, which reflects new requirements under Missouri Senate Bill 68, is expected to be adopted by the Board of Education at its meeting on Aug. 21, 2025, and will take effect on the first day of school for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Under the new policy, students will not be permitted to use or display EPCDs—including cell phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and smart glasses—during the school day. For purposes of this policy, “school day” refers to the official start and end times designated by each school building.

The policy includes specific exceptions, allowing EPCDs to be used:
During emergencies,
As required by law (e.g., for students with special education needs), and
When authorized by a teacher or administrator in support of an educational activity.

This change is designed to support a learning environment free from unnecessary distractions and to ensure compliance with state law.

In addition, the District’s Student Code of Conduct will be updated to reflect the new requirements beginning on the first day of school. Families are encouraged to review these updates and discuss expectations with their students in advance of the school year.

The
Student Usage of Electronic Personal Communication Devices policy available for review on the District website. The updated code of conduct reflecting these changes can be reviewed at the following link: 2025-2026 Student Misconduct & Disciplinary Consequences.
