New Website & Communication Platform Coming This Summer!
Bastrop ISD is making big moves this summer to improve how we connect with our families, staff, and community!
New Website
This summer, we’ll be launching brand-new district and campus websites! The change comes after our current website provider, Blackboard, was purchased by Finalsite, prompting a required platform upgrade. While the look and navigation will change, all the important information you rely on will still be available. After the new site goes live, make sure to visit bisdtx.org again to explore important pages and update your bookmarks.
ParentSquare Communications
To better serve our school community, we’re consolidating our communications tools into one powerful platform—ParentSquare! This will replace School Status and Blackboard Mass Communications. ParentSquare offers a unified, two-way communication experience for families and staff, including an app, messaging, phone calls, alerts, calendar events, forms, and more—all in one place. It’s designed to make staying informed easier than ever.
As we get closer to the rollout we’ll continue to provide more information. Please be aware, that once we import contact information, families may begin to receive notifications from ParentSquare with instructions to activate their account and verify contact details.
To ensure you don’t miss important updates, please verify that your contact information in Skyward is current. This includes phone numbers, emails, and emergency contacts. ParentSquare will pull all information directly from Skyward.
