A Gentle Reminder About Pick-Up Procedures

Aloha families,

As we settle into the school year, let's remember to be mindful of one another during our daily pick-up routines. Following our procedures ensures a smooth, safe, and efficient process for everyone.

For all families:

  • After you have picked up your child, please make your way off campus. Our campus is actively used by our A+ and after-school enrichment programs, and we need to keep the area clear for their operations. If you'd like to socialize with other families, we kindly ask that you do so at one of the neighboring parks.

For A+ families:

  • If you are picking up your child from A+ after 2:45 pm (or after 2:00 pm on Wednesdays), you are welcome to park in any available space in the front lot. Do not park and leave your vehicle unattended in the autoline curbside when signing out your child. You will be asked to exit the lot and re-enter and park in a stall. Please be considerate of others and do not block or obstruct anyone's ability to leave. By the same token, please refrain from being confrontational with honking or yelling. We want to be able to have everyone get to where they need to go without escalating the possibility of heated confrontation.

By working together and following these guidelines, we can ensure a positive and safe experience for our entire school community. Mahalo for your cooperation!

Home Visit Checks

To ensure accurate enrollment and compliance with Hawaii state law, specifically Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) § 302A-1143, we may conduct home visits. This law requires students to attend the school in the district where they reside, with some exceptions like charter or Hawaiian language immersion schools.

We may follow up with a home visit in situations where there are questions about a student's place of residence. This includes:

  • Multiple families sharing the same address.

  • Discrepancies between the address listed on the emergency card and school registration forms.

  • Different addresses for siblings attending other public schools.

Our goal is to ensure all students are properly enrolled and receiving the resources they need. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
