Immunization Exclusion Day Is February 26, 2026!
Reminder: Vaccination Exclusion Day is Coming!
Oregon Law requires all students attending school, preschool, childcare, and Head Start programs to have up-to-date immunizations or a medical/non-medical exemption on file with their school. If your student's required immunization records are not complete by February 25, they cannot attend in-person learning or childcare until we receive documentation showing compliance.
Where to get vaccines:
Immunizations are one of the most effective tools we have to prevent serious, vaccine-preventable diseases. They not only safeguard your student's health but also help keep our classrooms and community healthy and safe.
Your child's pediatrician or Linn County Public Health can schedule an appointment for your child's immunizations. Here's the link to get an appointment with the county health department.
What vaccines does my child need?
Please see the Oregon Health Authority Flyer in English or Spanish below.
Don't forget to turn in your student's updated immunization record or exemption form to the school as soon as possible to ensure your child does not have an interruption to his/her education.

How to Talk to Your Kids About Vaping
Yes, it's a thing--even at elementary school age!!
It's never to late to talk to your child about vaping. Here's a link to a resource to help you with that conversation. Wouldn't you rather your child hear this from you before peer pressure rears its ugly head?
This Month's Character Focus
π²π¦ February Fox Focus: Kindness in Our Forest Family π
In our school forest, every fox, cub, and creature plays an important role! This February, our Fox Focus character trait is kindnessβand we are learning how kind actions help our whole forest grow stronger and safer for everyone. π³β¨
Just like in a real forest, when one creature helps another, the whole ecosystem thrives. πΏ Kindness means using gentle words, helping others, including friends in play, and showing care for those who may be struggling.
πΌ How Foxes Show Kindness at School:
π¦ Helping a classmate
π² Including others in play
π¬ Using kind and respectful words
π€ Standing up for others
β€οΈ Showing empathy and care
Throughout the month, students will practice kindness in classrooms, hallways, on the playground, and in the cafeteria. We will also celebrate students who show outstanding kindness through our Fox Focus recognitionsβspotlighting foxes who lead with their hearts! βπ¦
π‘ How Families Can Grow Kindness at Home:
πΈ Encourage kind words and calm problem-solving
π Write thank-you or kindness notes
π§Ή Practice helping with chores
ποΈ Do a family act of kindness (help a neighbor, donate, share)
π Model kindness in everyday moments
π²π Together, we are growing a school forest rooted in compassion, respect, and care. Thank you for helping us raise kind foxes who make our forest a brighter place for all! π¦β¨
