Yotes Baseball Looking to Heat Up
Last week, the Yotes Baseball program was in limited action due to weather, which canceled two scheduled games against Chatfield and Fairview.
On Tuesday, Varsity hosted the #13 ranked Erie Tigers but unfortunately fell short, losing 7-0. However, there were some strong performances worth noting:
- Preston Hutchings (Senior) delivered a solid performance with two hits in three at-bats.
- Landon Resch (Senior) stepped up in relief, pitching 4.2 innings, allowing just two hits and no earned runs.
Meanwhile, the Junior Varsity and C Teams traveled to Erie High School. Sophomore Carter Kalkofen (Sophomore - pictured) led the JV Yotes to a 9-4 victory, securing the win by pitching four innings, giving up three hits, and striking out nine batters. Nolan Donehoo (Sophomore) started and earned the win for the C Team, pitching three innings without allowing any earned runs and striking out five.
