February Was Filled with Fun Learning Activities
February was packed with many activities including lunch hour clubs, basketball for Grade 5, Battle of the Books practices, our Early Learning for Families (ELFF) event, Pink Shirt Day activities and assembly, Electives, Olympic and Reading Assembly, our PAC Family Dance, and much more! We are grateful for our parents involvement in a number of those activities, especially the Family Dance and the support offered during our electives. Thank you!
March will be short and sweet, and we hope the two weeks off during Spring Break offer your family an opportunity to spend time together, to rest and enjoy some time outside.
Basketball Elective with West K Hoops
West K Hoops offered three sessions to a group of about 30 students during our Term 2 electives. We are very grateful for their support. Click here to view an HRE exclusive coupon to their Spring Break camps or view their website for more info.
Karate at HRE
We are very grateful to West Kelowna Karate who came and spent a few days with our students to introduce them to the discipline. For more info, see their website.

Student Learning Survey - Invitation to Grade 4 Parents
The Student Learning Survey is for students in Grades 4, 7, 10, 11, and 12, their parents, staff and administrators. The Student Learning Survey provides important insight into the lived experiences of our learners. The results help schools and the district better understand students’ sense of identity, belonging, engagement, and learning, and they inform school planning and our ongoing work to improve learning experiences for all students. The survey is open until May 1. While Grade 4 students will complete their version of the survey at school, Grade 4 parents are asked to please check their email for the link sent out today. We appreciate your participation.
