📚 Georgia Milestones Testing: What Parents Need to Know 📚
Dear Families,
As we approach the Georgia Milestones Assessment window, we want to ensure that you feel informed and supported in helping your child succeed. The Georgia Milestones is a state-required assessment for students in grades 3 through high school. It measures how well students have learned the content outlined in the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
✏️ Why the Georgia Milestones Matter:
- It provides a snapshot of your child's progress and mastery of grade-level skills.
- Results help teachers tailor instruction to better meet students’ needs.
- It gives families valuable feedback on how their child is doing academically.
🏡 How You Can Support at Home 🏡
- Encourage a positive mindset: Remind your child that the test is a chance to show what they’ve learned!
-
Keep routines consistent: Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast each testing day.
-
Read and talk daily: Practice reading and math in everyday situations. Review homework, ask questions, and stay curious together.
-
Celebrate effort: Praise your child for their hard work and perseverance, not just the results.
