💛 Thank You, Volunteers! 💛 We want to give a huge shout-out to all of our incredible volunteers who helped make the Donuts for Dads & Dudes event such a success! We received so many heartfelt thank-yous and wonderful compliments from our Dads & Dudes — and it’s all thanks to your time, energy, and teamwork. You truly make these moments special for our scholars and families.
📅 Be sure to check out our calendar for upcoming events and make sure your volunteer clearance is up to date so you can be part of the action next time!

💛 Community Strong!💛 With today’s economic climate, your PTO is working hard to ensure that funds for STEM programs and teacher initiatives continue to thrive. Even though Monday was a busy day, our CMIT families showed up and showed out at the BJ’s Restaurant Fundraiser! We don’t yet know the total amount raised, but the fellowship and community spirit shared was truly priceless. Thank you to everyone who participated, shared the flyer, and helped make this event a success. Together, we’re proving that teamwork really does make the dream work!

Calling All Parent Leaders!

We are excited to announce that our Annual Holiday Shop is fast approaching!
Your PTO is seeking volunteer support from December 3–12, 2025.
Scholars will shop December 8th–12, 2025 during school hours. This is a fun, budget-friendly shopping experience where volunteers help scholars make choices, understand prices, and practice real-world money skills. It’s a wonderful opportunity for scholars to shop for family and friends, build budgeting confidence, and support the PTO! This is a cash-only event. For the security of your scholar’s funds, please send all money in a labeled Ziploc bag with their name and teacher clearly written on it.

If you’re able to help, please click the link below to sign up as a volunteer. https://forms.gle/vUNoizNRWSmWuPYh6

A special thank-you as well to everyone who attended our Parent University! We hope the information shared was both informative and helpful in supporting your scholar’s growth and success. If you were unable to attend, your scholar’s teacher will share the link to the presentation.

Next week in Reading, we will continue Unit 2: Nature’s Wonders. Our genre for the week is realistic fiction, and our Question of the Week is: How does a tree show patterns as the seasons change? In Math, we will continue Topic 5: Subtracting Within 100 Using Strategies. Students will practice using various strategies to solve subtraction problems accurately and efficiently. In Science, we will begin Topic 2, Lesson 3: Matter Within Objects. Students will explore how different materials make up the objects we use every day and how properties of matter help determine their purpose.

We will begin working on our STEM Activity (2nd Grade CMIT Day Parade Floats). Please send a small shoe box and crafts items. Students will design and present their shoebox during our grade level parade.

As we continue to settle into the school year, we kindly request your support in reinforcing the importance of following our School Motto with your scholars. I will Respect Myself and Others, I will Opt to Be Scholarly, I will Act Responsibly, and I will React with Kindness. Lastly, please label your scholar's school uniform jackets and coats.
