California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
CAASPP Testing for 11th Graders
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to remind you that all Bear Creek 11th graders will be taking the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) on:
📅 Tuesday, April 8th – Thursday, April 10th
⏰ Minimum day schedule for all students
📍 11th graders must report to the Large Gym by 8:30 AM each day
To ensure your child is well-prepared, please encourage them to get a good night's rest and eat a healthy breakfast each morning before testing.
Why Is the CAASPP Test Important for Your Child?
🎓 College Readiness & Admissions
The CAASPP serves as a college placement exam for English and Math through the UC/CSU Early Assessment Program (EAP)—eliminating the need for additional placement tests.
With many colleges no longer requiring SAT or ACT scores, CAASPP results in ELA, Math, and Science now play a key role in admissions decisions.
📄 College & Career Readiness & Recognition
CAASPP scores can showcase your child’s College and Career Readiness based on state guidelines.
High scores help students qualify for prestigious recognitions, such as the State Seal of Biliteracy and the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma, which enhance college applications and resumes.
🎉 Exciting Incentives for Students!
To motivate students to perform their best, those who Meet or Exceed Standards in Math, English, or Science will be entered into a raffle prize drawing to win:
🎧 Apple AirPods
🎟️ Extra Graduation Tickets
🏈 Powder Puff Game Tickets
👕 BCHS Sweatshirts & Swag
🍽️ Restaurant Gift Cards
Your child’s participation is essential—not only for their own future success but also for the strength of our school and community.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for supporting your child’s education!
Best regards,
Janée Waters

All Seniors are required to fill out one of the applications. Don't miss out, Priority Deadline is March 3, 2025.
In California, completing either a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or a CADAA (California Dream Act Application) is required by law for all graduating high school seniors, meaning it is mandatory to submit one of these applications to the state unless a formal opt-out waiver is filed; this requirement is enforced through state legislation, specifically the California Education Code Section 51225.7.
Please use the resources below to learn more about FAFSA or CADDA and what form would be best for you.
Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (ARE) Department
Dear Lodi USD Parent/Guardians,
Every year, California students take several statewide tests. When combined with other measures such as grades, class work, and teacher observations, these tests give families and teachers a more complete picture of their child’s learning. You can use the results to identify where your child is doing well and where they might need more support. Your child may be taking one or more of the following:
- California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
- English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
To see the full information on the above assessments, please visit our Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (ARE) Department website. Please select the Annual Notification of Testing, 2024-2025 link.
