Here are the steps you will want to accomplish between now & when sophomores visit on November 16th & 17th.

Pre-visit:

  1. Complete your post visit Smore newsletter so you can send it out when you return from Thanksgiving Break. (Consider attending one of the group work sessions at either Atrium or Main Campus.) Here's a handy Smore template.
  2. Collaborate on your Smore with your academic partner. (I can make a shared folder for you or here are the directions- Shared Folder Directions) Please contact your campus director if you don't know your partner!
  3. Create a Google Form to Collect Contact Information & other specific info that will help you to connect in the future.
  4. Create a QR code that connects visiting students to your Google Form. Winnie can help you with this if you don't know where to start or here's a good free QR generator.

During visit:

  1. Give the Google Form to your visitors before they leave. (If you simply write down names & email addresses, you will have A LOT more work on your hands to contact them.) Here's a ready-made Google Form you can use with your visitors that determines interest in your program.
  2. Post the QR code from the Google Form in your classroom when sophomores visit. It can be on a slide presentation a large post-it in your classroom or on a small piece of paper taped to the desks.
  3. Take pictures of your most interested visitors in action so you can add them to your Smore.

Post-Visit:

  1. Follow up with a Smore about your program that gives information about your program & Invites potential students and their families to Open House Night.
  2. Send your Smore using the email addresses you gather in the Google Form above! If you use email addresses it will give you GREAT ANALYTICS about who is very interested!
