MLC September Recap
September brought a nice, gentle start to the school year at MLC! After a busy summer filled with fun and adventure, it was great to welcome everyone back and ease into the new school year while getting ready for all the exciting fall activities ahead.
Our MLC kids made the most of the beautiful weather by heading out to local parks and enjoying plenty of outdoor activities. We also got creative with a variety of fun art projects, including canvas painting and other hands-on activities that allowed everyone to express their creativity.
As the school year got underway, our students also settled back into their regular school routines and homework time. Many of our kids have been busy working on their schoolwork during our education time, getting organized and adjusting to their new schedules.
With fall officially here, everyone is getting excited for the season ahead! The kids are especially looking forward to the upcoming Haunted House visit hosted by our Tufts buddies. We can’t wait to see all the fun and memories that October will bring! It’s been a wonderful start to the school year, and we’re excited for all the fun, creativity, and new experiences still to come at MLC!

MELC Through The Month
MELC September Recap
September was a wonderful start to the school year at MLEC! After a fun-filled summer, it was exciting to welcome our younger kids back and begin settling into new routines while enjoying plenty of hands-on activities and outdoor adventures. Our MLEC kids had a great time getting creative with clay art. They had the opportunity to explore different shapes, textures, and ideas while creating their own unique pieces. The activity was a big success, and it was wonderful to see everyone’s creativity and excitement as they worked with the clay.
We also enjoyed a Mystic Nature Walk, where the kids spent time outdoors along the river exploring and learning about the natural world around them. During the walk, they talked about different birds and insects they spotted and learned more about the wildlife and environment in our community. Back at MLEC, the kids continued exploring their creativity through a variety of art choices and hands-on projects. Each activity gave them a chance to try something new, express themselves, and have fun with their friends.
It has been a great beginning to the school year at MLEC! We’re excited to continue creating, exploring, learning, and making wonderful memories together as we head into October.

Meet Charline: Our Young Artist!
This month, we are excited to celebrate our MLC kid, Charline, and her love for art! Charline enjoys drawing cartoons and bringing her ideas to life with colorful crayons and markers.
When asked why she loves art, Charline said, “I love art because when I color, it is so calming and quiet. I like drawing cartoons, and I love using crayons and markers to color.”
We love seeing Charline’s creativity shine through her artwork. Her imagination and love for creating make her a wonderful young artist in our MLC community!
