Hello McClure Families!

Thank you for your attendance at Curriculum Night last week. You should have received a follow-up email and survey request from your student's Advisory teacher. We appreciate your time completing the survey and value your feedback.

The Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) testing in MATH classes happens this week. We encourage all students to come prepared for testing and to show their best work. MAP Assessment Info

Our PTSA Fall Fund Drive plays a vital role in supporting the educational experience we provide for every McClure student. Funds raised help make possible so many of the opportunities our students enjoy, including the PTSA Staffing Grant, classroom and school supplies, teacher professional development, curriculum and departmental resources, field trips, student enrichment activities, and more. Thank you for supporting McClure and helping us invest in our students, staff, and school. More info below in the PTSA section.

Thank you for your continued partnership, and we look forward to another great week at McClure! Go Mavs!

Student Reminders Student Reminders

Cell Phones & Backpacks
Please remind your student that cell phones and backpacks must be stored in lockers upon arrival and remain there throughout the school day, including 6th period. Students should carry daily materials in a laptop case or small tote bag and bring their six essential items: laptop, folder, notebooks, writing utensils, water bottle, and a reading book. Students who repeatedly bring backpacks to class may be assigned to the PRIDE Room during lunch, and families will be contacted for support.

Gym Safety
We have seen an increase in students and staff being hit by basketballs and volleyballs that are thrown or kicked unsafely during lunch. Students are expected to use equipment appropriately, be aware of others, and avoid reckless behavior. Students who misuse equipment may lose gym privileges for one week. Our goal is to keep lunch safe, fun, and welcoming for everyone.

Restroom Safety & Respect
Every student deserves access to restrooms that are safe, respectful, and clean. We have recently seen incidents involving large groups gathering in restrooms, vandalism, and inappropriate behavior. Please encourage your student to follow our PRIDE expectations by respecting others' privacy, keeping hands and feet to themselves, using restrooms appropriately, and taking care of school property. If students witness vandalism or behavior that makes others feel unsafe, they should report it to a trusted adult. Together, we can ensure our shared spaces remain safe and welcoming for all.
