Greetings Bruin families-

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of Bruin Night! Your support ensures that our incoming freshmen and their families feel welcomed and valued as part of the Bear Creek community. This event provides them with essential information about our programs, helping them make informed decisions, set goals, and build excitement for the next chapter of their education.

We hope to see the same amazing turnout at our upcoming Bruin Way Awards Night, where over 1,000 students have qualified for recognition! This special evening celebrates student achievements, including honor roll, perfect attendance, and other important milestones.

A special shoutout to the Black Excellence Program for their hard work in organizing a month-long celebration, which included an outstanding Black History Month Assembly. Your dedication and efforts are truly appreciated!

We also want to share an incredible opportunity for our students! The Y.E.S.S. Program, funded through the State of California Youth Service Corps, will provide over 100 youth jobs for students ages 16-19 who live in Stockton. This six-week summer employment program offers students the chance to earn $23 per hour, gain experience in a formal workplace setting, develop valuable skills, and explore career pathways in the public sector. We encourage eligible students to take advantage of this fantastic program! More information below.

Looking ahead, we have several exciting events coming up, including Bunco Night, a fundraiser dinner, and the International Rally. We encourage everyone to join in and be part of these wonderful community gatherings.

Lastly, a big thank you to our Staff Members of the Week, Claudia Berry and Brenda Heinrich—your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed!

Thank you all for your continued support.

Go Bruins!

Warm regards,
Julie Hummel

All Seniors are required to fill out one of the applications. Don't miss out, Priority Deadline is March 3, 2025.

In California, completing either a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or a CADAA (California Dream Act Application) is required by law for all graduating high school seniors, meaning it is mandatory to submit one of these applications to the state unless a formal opt-out waiver is filed; this requirement is enforced through state legislation, specifically the California Education Code Section 51225.7.

Please use the resources below to learn more about FAFSA or CADDA and what form would be best for you.

Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (ARE) Department

Dear Lodi USD Parent/Guardians,

Every year, California students take several statewide tests. When combined with other measures such as grades, class work, and teacher observations, these tests give families and teachers a more complete picture of their child’s learning. You can use the results to identify where your child is doing well and where they might need more support. Your child may be taking one or more of the following:

  • California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
  • English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

To see the full information on the above assessments, please visit our Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (ARE) Department website. Please select the Annual Notification of Testing, 2024-2025 link.
