Thanks to our campus coming together and for Ms. Hernandez's organization of this event, BLECC staff and students were able to provide food baskets, complete with a turkey, to 24 of our BlueJay students! Thank you for your generosity this holiday season.

Blue Jay Bash!

We have had a great time celebrating our students at our monthly BlueJay Bash! We just held our second one of the year last Friday and the students enjoyed dancing, singing and being recognized on stage with a certificate and brag tag.

Teachers will be sharing pictures with their class through school status blasts.

Each month, students have the opportunity to come to the Blue Jay Bash by being at school and on time for the month. Our Outstanding Blue Jay of the Month is also recognized from each classroom as well as our students that are showing outstanding character traits.

Keep up the great work Blue Jays and we will see you at the next Bash!

December Character Trait: Empathy December Character Trait: Empathy

What to do If Your Child is Absent What to do If Your Child is Absent

Regular, punctual, daily attendance is required of all our students.

We do understand that sometimes our students are sick and need to stay home.

If a student has diarrhea , is vomiting, or running a fever, they need to stay home. Student's must be fever free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school.

When your child is out, email our Attendance Clerk, Mrs. Alma, at alma.carrizales@cvisd.org

Anytime your student is out for a doctor's appointment or therapy, a note from the doctor or therapist is required. Otherwise, a parent note is needed the day the student returns.

Make sure the note includes your child´s name, teacher´s name, date of absence and reason for absence. A student will not be counted absent if he or she leaves school or is late to school and a note from a doctor or therapist is provided for that day.
