BW's Best of the Week BW's Best of the Week

While none of us are crazy about growing older, the students and staff made my 60th birthday a special one. I was at a meeting in the morning and Mrs. Lindahl, our Confidential Secretary/Bookkeeper, announced that it was my birthday (we do this daily for staff). However, she had also asked staff to wear black and gold, in recognition of my alma mater, Purdue. More importantly, she had requested that Ms. Chandrasekheran bring the choir to my office to sing happy birthday. They did a wonderful job! Schoolwide Fundraiser Schoolwide Fundraiser

Help support the entire student body at GRMS by participating in our schoolwide Charleston Wrap fundraiser. Proceeds will go towards our PBiS program to reward students as they show the qualities of the Character Counts! Pillars and G – Growth, R – Respect, M – Mindful, S – Safety (PBIS Schoolwide Expectations). We have weekly and quarterly activities, field days, and other activities throughout the year. We also have drawings at the end of each quarter where students having earned and submitted their tickets are eligible for higher priced rewards. We earned a little short of $3000 last year and only a small percentage of students participated. Our goal is $6000 this year. We appreciate your support but please only purchase things you would use and comfortably within your discretionary budget. Attached are letters on how to participate as well as incentives for students.

In a collaborative effort to broaden the reach of FCTC's ELL/ESOL classes, and better meet the needs of St. Johns County School District students, families, employees, and the community, we would like to survey as many residents as we can to see if there is enough interest in adding evening ESOL classes to some of our district high schools. To the right is a QR code to the survey, and here is a link: https://forms.office.com/r/7Q4GRbKz2g
