Inclement Weather & AMI Update
As we approach the colder months, we want to re-share the District communication that has information regarding the WSD's inclement weather procedures for the 2025-26 school year. This year, snow days one and two will be traditional snow days. After our second snow day this year, we will switch to AMI (alternative methods of instruction) for snow days three through seven. Read more on what to expect this winter or view AMI assignments.
Student Schedules: Semester 2 & Next Year
Second semester is approaching quickly! Let's review some scheduling details.
The course correction deadline for Semester is Friday, January 9. To submit a course correction, students must fill out the course correction form on the counseling webpage – please do not email your counselor as this can prolong the process.
Students should fill out the course correction form if you…
- Are missing a core course – English, math, science, or social studies
- Have an incomplete schedule (fewer than 7 class periods).
- Need to repeat a required class that you failed.
- Have already passed and received credit for a course that CANNOT be taken multiple times.
- If you have been accepted into a WSD special program – CAPS, CNA, Lewis & Clark, Dual Enrollment, etc. – and it is not reflected on your schedule.
- Need a specific course for college admissions or NCAA.
- Do not have the prerequisite for a course on your schedule.
- Are wanting a change that is not for academic purposes. If this is the case, your request will be denied.
- Are wanting to change teachers.
- Are wanting Release Time, Dual Enrollment, or Flex. These changes require special forms – come see in the counseling office to pick up these forms during the first week of school in Sem II.
- Believe you need a different level of a course (for example, Geometry to Honors Geometry), you need teacher permission first. Please have a conversation with the teacher you have this year. The teacher will then fill out a form for your counselor on your behalf if an adjustment needs to be made.
- Need assistance with Dual Enrollment – in this case, please email Mrs. Amy Green at amygreen@wsdr4.org.
In February, our counseling team will be working with all students to create schedules for the 2026-2027 school year. Stay tuned for more information!
Thanksgiving Turkey Drive
Timberland’s Interact Club is kicking off our annual Turkey Drive from November 5-19! We’re collecting donations to help provide turkeys for local families in need, with a goal of raising $500. If we hit our goal, Mr. Winklemann will proudly strut through the halls in a full turkey costume on the last day before break! Plus, every donation enters you into a drawing for a QT gift card. So give generously and join in the fun!
Become a School Lunch Hero
Our School Lunch Hero program aims to ensure no child leaves the cafeteria hungry. Donate to our Lunch Hero program to help WSD families struggling to keep up with paying for school breakfast and lunch. Read more about School Lunch Heroes and make a donation.
WSD Holiday Assistance Program
Would you like to bring a little holiday cheer to a Wentzville School District family? Each year in December, the WSD Holiday Assistance Program helps to provide gifts for students in need and their families. Last year 361 families and 982 children received assistance in this charitable effort! The program works with businesses, community groups, and individuals to help make the upcoming holidays more enjoyable for struggling families. In our schools, students and staff do a variety of things to raise money and collect gifts, and many families are adopted by their own caring school community. But there is always a need for additional community support. If you would like to adopt a family, please call (636) 327-3800 x 20358 or email zacharybreckle@wsdr4.org.
