It's Fall at Hull High School

The transition from September to October offers a moment to reflect on the strong start to our school year. The first weeks of school are always about setting the tone, and this September our students and staff did just that—establishing routines, embracing challenges, and showing a commitment to learning and growth.

Now, we turn the calendar. October is a wonderful month in our school community—it’s when learning is in full swing and students are finding their rhythm both in and out of the classroom. This is also a time when we see the importance of balance: balancing academics with extracurricular activities, personal goals with responsibilities, and challenge with support.

As the fall season unfolds, we encourage our students to stay curious, engaged, and open to growth. Parents and caregivers, thank you for your ongoing partnership; your support at home helps make success in school possible. And to our staff, your dedication continues to inspire.

Together, let’s keep building a community where every student feels supported, challenged, and empowered to achieve.

10th and 11th grade students will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 15. The PSAT provides students with important practice for the SAT, helping them become familiar with the structure, timing, and types of questions they’ll encounter in future college entrance exams. In addition, it gives students a clear picture of their academic strengths and areas for growth, which can guide course selections and study strategies throughout high school. For juniors, the PSAT also serves as the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program, opening doors to recognition and potential scholarship opportunities. Above all, the PSAT is a low-stakes way to build confidence, set goals, and take an important step toward college and career readiness. We encourage every student to approach it as a valuable learning opportunity.

Extracurricular clubs and activities are an important part of the high school experience. They provide students with opportunities to explore interests, develop leadership skills, and build friendships beyond the classroom. Whether it's joining a club with an academic focus, a service organization, or an activity based on a personal passion, clubs help students strengthen their sense of belonging and discover new talents. Click the button below for a presentation highlighting the clubs Hull High School is offering this year, including information about when and where they meet.

Hull Master Plan Hull Master Plan

As you may know, the Town of Hull is in the process of creating a town-wide master plan that will be used to guide priorities and decisions for key areas of Town government, including housing, transportation, and open space. The Hull Master Plan Steering Committee wants to hear from everyone in Hull to make sure that the plan is representative of our diverse community, including students, families, faculty, and staff connected to Hull High. They are currently looking for feedback that will help in the development of a vision for Hull over the next 10 years. This vision will provide a foundation for the goals, strategies, and actions that will be developed later in the planning process.

There are two ways that you can provide feedback now: an online survey and an open house on October 23rd. You can stop by the open house whether or not you’ve taken the survey. Visit the project webpage to learn more about the master plan and sign up for the project mailing list: https://mapc.ma/hull-master-plan.
