Summer Splash of Info

I truly hope that each of you are enjoying your summer! I have seen and/or spoken to a number of you throughout the past month and a half... I know some of you have already had some amazing adventures and others of you still have travel plans. I know some of you have attended PD or have PD and conferences still scheduled. Whatever you do, please find some time to be still and relax! It is so very important that you take time for you!!!

The intent of this message is to give you a few updates. If you have questions, please text, call or email me!

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

• Open Enrollment begins next week - July 15th! Please be sure to follow all directions and procedures for getting this completed! I do not want anyone to not have health benefits for the upcoming year! For those of us that have been in KISD for awhile, we have always done this in October. This will be your one and only chance to select for the next entire year...
• New Teacher Induction will be held on July 29 - 31. You will get more information on this soon.
• August 1st is THE DAY!!! This is the first day of the 24-25 school year for staff! The days will be filled with lots of learning. Please watch for the Back to School plan that I will be sending out soon. These are professional days, so please plan to have your children in daycare or have someone who can watch them as you are busy learning and preparing for the return of our LHMS students.
• August 14th will be the first day of the 24-25 school year for students!
• Our theme for this year is We>Me. I kept it really simple and gave a nod to our math department with the > simple. As we move into this year, we all have to remember that WE are greater than ME when it comes to the learning! Our sole purpose each school day is to instruct and improve the lives of our students! Every single one of us plays a key role in the lives of our students!

Please enjoy these last few weeks of time off!
