Well, we've reached the final week of the first semester! It has flown by.
Midterm exams begin this week. (See schedule and information below) Monday is 7th Period. Tuesday is 1st, 3rd, and 5th Period. Wednesday is 2nd, 4th, and 5th Period. Thursday and Friday are both half days. Students do not have to attend if they have completed all of their exams.
The junior high Franklin County Tournament begins this weekend as well (see schedule below). The two-day tournament will be held at Vina this year.
Our annual Shelby Grissom Memorial Fashion Show was a hit again, as usual. Thank you to Aleah Harris and her FCCLA classes for putting this show on each year in memory of a great young lady. Also many thanks to the following for donating the dresses and outfits: Cheery Tree Lane, Suzy's, Maggie J's, Rock Creek, and Grey Barn.
Our band did a great job on Monday night with their annual Christmas concert which featured a wide assortment of contemporary Christmas songs and some jazz.
Our Giving Club did some Christmas shopping at WalMart this week to help some children have a special Christmas morning.
I want to thank you all for a special first semester. I appreciate you all! The students, staff and community that make up PCHS is the best! I hope you all have a very special Christmas break and it brings you all you hope for. Just remember the reason for the season. It's not all about who can get the most and best gifts. It's about a very special love that only one person can deliver. Merry Christmas! I'll see you in 2026!
