Welcome Back Bobcats,

I hope you and your family have had a wonderful, relaxing, and enjoyable summer! As we prepare to begin another exciting school year, I want to extend a heartfelt welcome back to all our students and families. Our faculty and staff are back at work preparing for an incredible year, and we are thrilled to welcome our students back to school on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

This year, our school theme again is "Every Bobcat Counts." We believe that every student, every family, and every staff member play an important role in making Brooker Creek Elementary a place where all students can thrive.

We are also excited to celebrate Brooker Creek Elementary as one of the Top 5 elementary schools in Pinellas County based on FAST proficiency results. This accomplishment reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our exceptional staff, and the incredible partnership we share with our families. Thank you for helping make this success possible!

While we are proud of what we have accomplished together, we know that excellence is built through continuous improvement. This year, our staff will be focused on "Performance in the Pit Stops," embracing the mindset that just like a championship race team, small adjustments, collaboration, and timely support throughout the year help produce outstanding results. We will continuously monitor student progress, celebrate successes, and make strategic instructional adjustments to ensure every Bobcat reaches their fullest potential.

We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting classroom assignments. Our staff has been working carefully to balance class rosters to create the best possible learning environments for all students. Finalized student schedules are now available through FOCUS. Schedule change requests will only be considered for program placements correction and changes are not considered based on teacher preference. We want to assure everyone that all of our teachers are experienced, fully certified, and dedicated to providing high-quality instruction in a supportive learning environment. Mrs. Gerber and I are confident that every student will have a successful and rewarding year in the classroom to which they have been assigned.

We invite all of our families to join us for our Meet the Teacher event on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to meet their teachers, visit classrooms, and get excited about the new school year. Our PTA will also be in attendance so families can purchase Brooker Creek Spirit Wear and sign up for a PTA membership.

To address the increased number of student injuries last year involving inappropriate footwear all students must wear shoes that are secure and have a back strap at all times. Please note that Crocs may not be worn during PE days so students should wear appropriate athletic shoes on their scheduled PE days. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe school environment.
